How to hire a foreign worker through the SINP

Since April 2026 the Employer Position Assessment (EPA) replaces the old Job Approval Form and Letter. Here is the path, start to finish.

  1. 01RegisterGet a Certificate of Registration from the Ministry of Immigration and Career Training. It is valid for two years.
  2. 02Get the position approvedSubmit an Employer Position Assessment in OASIS. Your candidate then confirms the details.
  3. 03Candidate is nominatedThe worker applies to the SINP and receives a Nomination Letter and Work Permit Support Letter, valid six months.
  4. 04Work permit and arrivalYou submit the offer in the IRCC Employer Portal and pay the $230 compliance fee; the worker applies for the permit and PR.

Do job seekers pay any fees to be recruited?

No. Under Saskatchewan's Immigration Services Act, no recruiter or employer may charge a worker to be recruited for a job. Employers pay all recruitment costs.

Is Talent Recruitment Services a licensed recruiter?

Which industries can hire through the SINP in 2026?

All sectors can apply, but health care, agriculture, skilled trades, mining, manufacturing, energy and technology are priority sectors. Retail, trucking, and accommodation and food services are capped and can only support current employees during intake windows.

How long does SINP employer approval take?

The SINP aims to process Employer Position Assessments within six weeks; from July to September 2026 they took about four weeks. Worker applications have a 16-week target.

Do you only recruit for employers in Regina?

No. Our office is in Regina, and we recruit for registered employers anywhere in Saskatchewan.
